LOVE AND IDENTITY – Conference on Love and Identity
Sexual identity is a complex and multifaceted concept, structured around four core dimensions: biological sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, and gender expression. These aspects intertwine, shaping not only how individuals experience their own identity but also how they are perceived by society.
The Love and Identity conference aims to explore these dimensions, creating a space for discussion and reflection to deepen the understanding of human diversity. A central theme will be the deconstruction of stereotypes and biases that continue to fuel discrimination against LGBTI+ individuals. Through open dialogue and critical discussion, the event seeks to challenge misconceptions, promote inclusivity, and raise awareness of these crucial issues.
Organized in collaboration between ST.E.P. ESN Pavia and Arcigay, this conference will feature experts, activists, and personal testimonies, offering valuable insights into the cultural mechanisms that shape perceptions of identity and love. It is an opportunity to question existing narratives and celebrate the freedom of self-expression in all its forms.
