DO YOU NEED A DOCTOR?

If you need a doctor during your stay in Pavia, you can choose a temporary general practitioner, both for Eruropean and non-European citizens.

 

IF YOU ARE A EUROPEAN CITIZEN

You just need to choose a general practitioner among those of the special list that you can find both at Agenzia di Tutela di Salute (ATS) office and on the website dedicated to the choice of family practice or pediatrics (on the left where it says "Cerca medico" click on "Comune" and choose "Pavia").

Once the doctor is fuond, you hace to get an appointment calling the listed number and/or going straight to the medicale office during the scheduled times, showing your European Health Card and your Identity Document.

 

IF YOU ARE A NON-EUROPEAN CITIZEN 

You will have to go to the ATS office to obtain an Italian health insurance contract.

FIRST AID
When strictly necessary you can go to the emergency room of the Policlinico San Matteo hospital. But be careful: going to the emergency room without a good reason could lead to a charge for the received treatments.
 
You can find the emergency room in the Nuovo Ospedale DEA, whose entrance is in Strada Privata Campeggi.
